The traditional Hotaru© beads absorb light and glow in the dark, similar to the glow of fireflies, which gives them their name, "firefly beads." Each bead is delicately handmade by a master glasswork artist, who applies a fine silver leaf to the hot glass at just the right moment, making these treasures of Japanese craftsmanship truly unique.
